Hi my name is Melanie and my hubby and partner in business is Darrell, and the inspiration for our business (gagagiggles) is our little baby girl Sophie.

When we first learnt we were having a baby, I set out to learn everything I could about my pregnancy, I signed up to parenting newsletters, joined groups and read every book I could get My hands on, most women when pregnant crave food I craved information.

I was also fortunate enough to have a sister pregnant at the time well she was almost time to give birth, and just like that the phone rang and she needed a lift to the hospital, i was excited that are children would grow up together just like we did, what I didnt know at the time was she was well into labour and i would end up being one of her birthing partners, i was delighted, 4 hours later a healthy baby boy, she made it all look so easy what was i worrying about!

Still I continued reading and gathering information and knowledge knowing that no two births are the same by the end of it we were filled with confidence and reassurance that we were taking the right actions to provide the best deliverance of a happy and healthy baby. And a week early our little angel was born.

But the journey never stops we are continuously looking out for information and solutions so that we can make the right decisions in raising a happy, responsible but most importantly a healthy little girl and we have another one on the way, expected in December. Yippee what a great Christmas present that will be.

Anyway we had a great idea, why not help other new parents find the same confidence we found by sharing our experience and providing all the needed information and solutions under one roof and that’s how gagagiggles was born.
